Maddie Williams grew up in Palmyra, Pennsylvania taking 7 styles of dance: Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Modern, and Hip Hop. She then went on to graduate from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Science in Dance Pedagogy; this program greatly shaped her into the well-rounded teacher that she is at AP today. Following graduation, Maddie performed with Disney Cruise Line in the main stage and deck shows on the “Disney Dream”. For the past 4 years, she has lived in Nashville, TN teaching beginning to advanced dance at St. Cecilia Academy. 3 years ago she created the curriculum for the dance program for their new junior high and continued to grow it during her time there. The reason Maddie moved to Nashville was to help her director begin the St. Cecilia Dance Academy. The dance academy is open to anyone ages three to adult and they offered 10 classes the first year with 8 of those classes being Miss Maddie’s -Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Creative Movement, Hip Hop, and Musical Theater. She considers it a privilege helping the program grow over the past four years. Maddie also had the privilege of being a guest choreographer for Foundations Dance Theater, Lipscomb University's dance company. Maddie absolutely loves teaching dance and is happiest when passing on that joy to her students. Miss Maddie’s classes are centered around safety while strongly emphasizing technique and the joy of dancing.
