Hailey Shield has been dancing for 16 years and counting in the Chicagoland area. Growing up dancing at the School of Performing Arts in Naperville, she has been classically trained in all areas, from ballet to hip hop, as well as performed and competed as a member of their Dance Ensemble. During her competitive seasons, Hailey was awarded many high honors; from first in category, to various judges awards. She had also been picked for scholarships through different conventions, most recently being a scholarship to study at Millennium Dance Complex.

During her high school years, Hailey had decided to pursue her passion for Hip Hop by joining the Hip Hop Connxion HQ in 2014. She continues to train under Suavé, the founder and director of all Hip Hop Connxion branches. With the Hip Hop Connxion, Hailey has had the opportunity to perform at many venues; including World of Dance, Urbanite, Prelude, Choreographer’s Carnival, and more. She has also made appearances in music videos for a few up and coming artists from Chicago.

While studying dance at the School of Performing Arts, Hailey had the opportunity to assistant teach many classes for 5 years. After graduating, she joined their faculty, and has been teaching since. She has also helped at conventions as a part of the Hip Hop Connxion.

We were honored to have Miss Hailey as a part of our first season. Miss Hailey is now completing her internships and certifications to become a Physical Therapist. We will miss having her on our staff as a regular faculty member, but know she will pop in from time to time to share her love and energy! Good Luck Miss Hailey!
